Two power companies serve the Sacramento metro area. SMUD covers most of the city and inner suburbs. PG&E covers Roseville, Folsom, El Dorado Hills, and parts of the county. They have different rebate programs. You cannot use SMUD rebates if PG&E serves you. And vice versa. Fresh Air Heating and Air has served both areas since 2010. We find out which one you have at the free estimate. Then we tell you what applies. It is that simple. No research needed on your end.
SMUD Area: City and Inner Suburbs
SMUD serves Sacramento city, Citrus Heights, Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Rancho Cordova, and Natomas. SMUD's 2026 rebates favor gas-to-electric heat pump swaps. Check current amounts at smud.org. Amounts can change. We track them.
PG&E Area: Placer County and Outlying Areas
PG&E serves Roseville, Folsom, Rocklin, Lincoln, Auburn, and Elk Grove. PG&E has its own rebate programs. Customers there cannot access SMUD rebates. They can use GoGreen Home Energy Financing instead.
